My Review: I loved this story. From the very first page, to the very end, I absolutely devoured it. Kelsey Wilcox is a fantastic woman. Her faith and ideals are strong, she is stubborn, and has a strength I envy. Brent Corbin is just what I would hope for in a cowboy: strong, stubborn, handsome, and relentless in his pursuit of Kelsey. The matchmaker trio provided the perfect amount of fun. The sparring between the characters was it's own thing. I really, really enjoyed this story. It might be one of my favorites in the series.

My Review: The only stories I've read by Beth Wiseman were in the form of Amish novellas, so this was a very different experience for me.There was a little I liked, and a lot I didn't like. t was heartfelt and sweet. I loved Brendan's pursuit of Alyssa. He knew he messed up, he confessed, and he did all he could to win her back. Sometimes his antics were hilarious. Alyssa was a borderline character for me. There were moments in the story that I really liked her and related, and there were moments I wanted to shake her! I DID NOT like her involvement with Dalton at all. It was obvious from the beginning that she shouldn't be with him, but she persisted anyway. For a Christian Fiction novella, this story references sexual thoughts quite a bit. One part of me liked the open and honestness of that because it made it more life like, and another part of me didn't like it. Overall, I did like the story, but it's not my favorite of the series.

My Review: I will admit that while I enjoyed this novella, it's not my favorite of the series. The plot was interesting. I liked the conflicting emotions that Wynne had to deal with, but I found her particularly stubborn and kind of whiney at times. Callum's reappearance was well-timed, all three times. I didn't like Adam from the moment he was introduced. The message of the story was about trusting God instead of pushing Him away when you get hurt. Wynne has to learn to lean on the Lord for her future and her plans, rather than stubbornly sticking to what she thinks is expected of her. Overall, it was a nice story, but not my favorite.

My Review: It's been a while since I've read a book by Denise Hunter. I forgot this author has a knack for tugging at my heart strings. Married 'til Monday is an emotional roller coaster from beginning to end and I loved every minute of it! The story was well laid out. At times it was serious and other times I was laughing at Ryan and Abby's antics. The plot was engaging and I was laughing, crying, angry, and sometimes frustrated right along with the characters. I loved this book from start to finish. Period.

I can relate so well to Abby. Growing up in a dysfunctional household has a long lasting effect on a person if it's not recognized and dealt with. It can affect everything and color everything in your life without you even realizing it. Abby's attitude, determination, and fear resonated deeply with me. Ryan, oh Ryan. I loved him from the first page of the book. He is handsome, kind, determined, and confident. He's also humble and flawed, and he recognizes those traits. His pursuit of Abby is endearing. He takes everything in stride, even when it's hard for him to swallow. Their relationship attracted me from start to finish. I loved every minute of their bickering, playful banter, and sweet, tender moments.

This book focuses a lot on marriage, the "ins" and "outs" if you will, of what a married couple endures. The spiritual, sexual, and emotional. The good, the bad, and the ugly. These two characters went through it all. The message of the book, beside it's focus on marriage, is about relying on God to see you through rather than running away and getting angry. When we allow anger to fester, or we don't deal with issues as they arise, we become bitter and contention and strife invades our relationship with God and everyone else. Recognizing, letting go, and letting God is something each character had to deal with, especially Abby. This book also touches on some tough subjects like abuse, miscarriage, and divorce.

Overall, I loved this book. I think it's my favorite of the series (although I haven't read the first one yet). I can't wait to read more by this phenomenal author.

My Review: Having not read any of Meg Moseley's previous works, I didn't know what to expect from this author. I was not disappointed. This story of love at first sight was funny, happy, sad, and exciting all at the same time. I got caught up in the romance from the beginning. I sympathized with Ellie and her family dilemmas (I mean, who doesn't have family drama!) and I sympathized with Gray's issues with the family dilemmas (been there, done that!). Each character has a strong devotion to their faith and family. Watching them learn the balance of faith, family, and each other was so much fun! It reminds me of my own life and my own relationship struggles. Overall, I really enjoyed this story and look forward to reading more by this fantastic author!

My Review: What a beautiful novella. I adored this story. When I read the description, I admit I was nervous about how I would feel about it. My soldier wasn't lucky enough to come home. I realized, though, that there are so many soldiers out there who do get to come home, but they aren't whole. Do they have the support they need? (Sorry, I got a little off topic). This story is a beautiful picture of the restoring nature of our Lord. Marshall and Stella have a huge obstacle to overcome: he can't remember her or anyone for that matter. By putting their trust in the One who knows more and can do more than they ever could, they are modeling the behaviour that we as Christians should have. I want to put my trust in the God who knows everything, don't you? Overall, I really enjoyed this story. It is a great addition to the Year of Weddings series.

My Review: I just finished reading the Royal Wedding series, so you can imagine my surprise that this novella was about Suzanne and Nathaniel from Once Upon A Prince. I loved catching up with these characters! It provided a more in depth look at their characters. The novellas theme piggyback off of the message from the first story: God's got this! Don't let your fear or your past overshadow what God is bringing to your present. Overall, I loved this short, sweet look into the wedding of King Nathaniel  and sweet, Georgia Belle Suzanna!

My Thoughts: Wow. This book was absolutely amazing. I mean, I was devastated when I left it at home on accident one day and picked it up as soon as I walked through the door! I love Camy Tang's writing style and can't get over how immersed I feel in the Japanese/Chinese American Culture as soon as I start reading. The plot was engaging and had me turning page after page. I was laughing, crying, and gritting my teeth right along with Venus. With updates from our other favorite characters, Lex and Trish, this story had me hooked from beginning to end.

Venus is a very driven character. At the beginning of the book, she is tough, determined, and devoutly Christian. As the story continues, though, we see cracks in her tough exterior and we can feel her pain, anger, anxiety, happiness, and finally contentment right along with her. The development of her character was phenomenally paced throughout the book and I loved the end result. Drake, poor Drake, has a lot to overcome with our prickly heroine. I didn't feel as connected to him as I did Aiden and Spencer, though because we didn't hear a lot from him throughout the book. He is a good match for Venus, and he grows a lot in the space of time the book allows.

The message of the book resonated with me, as Camy's messages tend to do. Venus is a very ambitious individual. She knows what she wants and she's gone after it. There is nothing wrong with that. However, and this is a BIG however, as Christians we are to STOP and ASK GOD what HE wants for our lives. Why is this scary? Because God's idea of what our lives should be doesn't always add up to what WE think our lives should be. But when we submit to God and HIS WILL for our lives, the reward is more than we could ever imagine.

As always, this book was the perfect blend of humor and wit, engaging, and richly filled with a message of love from our Lord. Camy provided a perfect addition to her Sushi series, and I can't wait to get a hold of the fourth book, Weddings and Wasabi.

My Thoughts: This is a perfect addition to Camy Tang's Sushi series. Not only do we get to visit our favorite volleyball player, Lex, and her fun, witty cousins, but we get to delve more into the life of Trish. The story flows and weaves around you as you're reading it. I loved the dialogue, Trish's smart mouth and sass. Written in true Camy Tang style, you'll feel plunged into the Japanese/Chinese American culture.

I loved getting to know Trish better. I really enjoyed following her on her journey of discovery of self and pursuit of God. She is sassy, smart, a little whiny, and a lot unsure of herself. Her relationship with Kazuo was so different from the relationship she tried to avoid with Spencer. It was comical to read about her trying to follow rule #1 and failing miserably. Spencer was another great male character. He was smart-allack enough for Trish, but loving, kind, and very true to himself.

The message of the story resonated deep with me. We all have a past, every single one of us. To God, it doesn't matter how "bad" or "good" you were. What matters is that you confess your sins to God and He will forgive you, no matter what! Sometimes accepting that is the hardest thing a Christian will do. Trish wrestles with forgiving herself, as Christ has forgiven her, throughout the entire story. I loved the Camy Tang took something that everyone will struggle with at some point in time, and made it so real.

Overall, this was a fantastic book. Full of fun characters, witty dialogue, and a deep message, readers will devour this book from beginning to end.

 I received this book from a group giveaway on Goodreads. I've chatted with Camy Tang and even given away copies of her books. I just realized that I never actually posted MY REVIEW of this book, so I decided to do that!

My Thoughts: I could not have asked for a better book. Camy Tang is a phenomenal writer! The dialogue was entertaining and had me laughing out loud. Lex Sakai is a character to be reckoned with. She is strong, stubborn, and determined to make her way in the world, regardless of what her grandmother thinks is best for her. Aiden is patient, caring, and a bit close-minded (in the beginning). I loved watching their relationship blossom. I loved watching Aiden's relationship with the Lord blossom as well. Camy didn't make it feel rushed and she showed us, through side characters, how sitting back and listening and really trying to connect with the other person can open their eyes to the Lord.

The story, itself, was absolutely fantastic. I loved getting a look into the Japanese and Chinese cultures. It was interesting to see how Japanese Americans and Chinese Americans still practice some of their cultural norms. The message of the book is waiting on the Lord and seeking Him in all areas of our lives. Trust him with everything. Be patient and wait on Him. It was phenomenal to see how Lex's decisions affected her life and at the end she realized she made her life harder than it had to be. I absolutely loved it. I can't say enough great things about this book and I can't wait to get my hands on the next books in the series, Sushi Series.

My Review: I absolutely loved this book. I hated putting it down for even a minute! Action-packed from the very beginning, Dani Pettrey captures the adventurous spirit of our hero, Reef, perfectly. The Iditarod race provided the perfect background for the story and brought to light the amazing setting that is Alaska. The plot was fast-moving, well-developed, and amazing. I love that Dani incorporates all of the McKenna clan in each book, but this can definitely be read as a stand-alone.

The characters are fantastic. This book focuses on Reef, the wayward, wild, crazy brother (who makes his first appearance in Shattered). We get to see a new side to him, and it makes me love him so much more. Kirra is the perfect girl for Reef. She is adventerous, strong, and stubborn enough to test him, but vulnerable and sweet enough to make Reef better. I loved their story and who they became together.

The message of the story focuses on letting go of your past and focusing on the future. Dwelling on our past isn't what God wants us to do, even if our pasts are difficult. With His help, we can face the past, and move on. "Love in the difficult parts of life. God in them - in the sorrow and the pain." God knows the plans He has for our future, and that can give us hope!

Overall, this book was the perfect ending to a fantastic series. I was SO excited to receive my copy and a little sad at the same time. Our time with the  McKenna's has ended, but I can't wait to see what else Dani Pettrey has in store for us!

 My Review: This was such a cute story. Oh my soul - Marcus is a man of gold. There are not many men who would not harbor resentment and anger toward their betrothed if they were left standing at the alter! I really enjoyed watching Allie and Marcus fight their attraction for one another throughout the story and I just KNEW they would get back together. Allie's belief in her cursed dress and family failings is relatable. A lot of people think because generation after generation does one thing, they are destined to do it as well. The cycle can be broken with God and faith! Overall, I enjoyed this sweet story! I look forward to reading more by Betsy.

My Review: I absolutely enjoyed this final book to the Price of Privilege series. Book two left us with more questions than answers, and I'm happy to say that the author provides a satisfying conclusion. This book is definitely written in the Victorian Gothic style, as are the other books in the series, but with humor and witty conversation sprinkled liberally throughout, the reader does not get bogged down in the negative. The plot itself is fantastic. Scandal, romance, murder, and intrigue kept me turning page after page late into the night! 

As in book two, Julia's growth throughout the book was natural and well-written. I didn't expect her to become a religious fanatic, and the author didn't write her as such. She struggled daily against all that was thrown at her, and her faith struggled as well. Her relationships with the people she interacted with on a daily basis grows as she overcomes her personal issues. Edward's character was the true vicar and husband I had been hoping for. He is patient, caring, kind, fierce, loyal, and protective all at once. The comic relief comes in the form of Jameson, Edward's father's personal valet. He is a loyal man with a knack for knowing just what is needed, and when. 

The masterful way the message was weaved into the plot gives true credit to the author who wrote it. Overcoming fear and learning to trust comes when we fully and wholly rely on God. Isaac, in my opinion, was the picture of Christ for Julia. He was there for her over and over, time after time, even though she rejected him and hurt him deeply. In the end, just as Christ's sacrifice saved us from eternal damnation, Isaac's sacrifice saved Julia.

Overall, the author provided a satisfying conclusion, ripe with scandal, romance, and a hefty dose of faith. I was choking back tears reading the last couple chapters of this book as the beautiful sacrifice and acceptance of all that had happened took place in Julia's life.  I look forward to reading more from this masterful author.

Here's my review of Blind Trust.

My Review: I thoroughly enjoyed this gripping suspense story. Because I read the second book in the Port Aster Secrets series, Blind Trust, first, I was somewhat familiar with what was going to happen. That didn't diminish my enjoyment at all. The plot was engaging, exciting, and had me squirming to find out more! The ending leaves a few loose ends, a couple of which are resolved in book 2 if I remember correctly. Each book could be read stand alone, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Oh I love the characters. I love them even more since I really got to understand them. Kate Adams is a fiery and fearless red head that is still learning to navigate a life of faith. Tom Parker is a determined cop, who came back home to re-evaluate his view on life and reconnect with his childhood faith. There are sparks that fly whenever Kate and Tom are together, but neither will admit it. I can't wait to see what happens with them next!

The message was expertly weaved in the story. Everyone, at one time or another, will come up against a side of God they aren't prepared for. We might not understand it, we will question it, but our choice to follow God and trust Him despite the circumstances will strengthen us in the end.

Overall, this is an intriguing story with a deep message. I hope you enjoy it!

My Review: This is another excellent book by Margaret Daley, and the perfect conclusion to the Men of the Texas Rangers series. As is the case with all her books, this story deals with some pretty serious topics, like prescription drug abuse, trust issues, and peer pressure to name a few. At times, the story had me gripping the edge of my seat. There were a couple plot lines running through the story, and the author did an excellent job of bringing everything together to a satisfactory close.

Margaret took a little bit different approach with this book. Instead of two main characters, this story was written in several different points of view, the main ones being Lexie, Kelly, Sadie, and Ethan. It made the story more interesting and helped me better connect with the characters. Each character had to deal with someone in their lives who abused or experimented with prescription drugs. Reading the story from Kelly and Lexie's perspective opens your eyes to what is going on with our youth today and drives home the importance of keeping an eye on any medications in your house. Sadie and Ethan provide a nice romantic relief in the, sometimes, heavy plot.

The message of forgiveness is clearly stated in Lexie and Sadie's stories. Each character has to deal with a wrong that has been done to them and how the respond to it. By staying angry and not forgiving that person, you are opening yourself up for bitterness and heartache. Holding a grudge doesn't hurt anyone but you. And God. God wants us to forgive people, like He does for us, over and over again.

Overall, this suspenseful story will have you hooked from beginning to end. I highly recommend it.

My review of Saving Hope, Book 1 in the Men of the Texas Ranger Series.

My review of Shattered Silence, Book 2 in the Men of the Texas Rangers Series. 

My Review: Talk about an action packed book! I cannot believe how well written each and every plot line in this story was written, executed, and wrapped up. The story is excellently written and focuses on revenge. There are some pretty violent crimes depicted in this book, but as usual, Margaret handled them in a tasteful way. 

I absolutely enjoyed Rebecca from the beginning of the story. She is a strong woman, and faces adversity with very real emotions and feelings. Her faith is part of her life and she makes it known, as well as her stance and strong sense of justice. Brody is the type of swoon-worthy Texas Ranger I've come to recognize in Margaret's books. I loved him and his feeling of overwhelming protectiveness toward Rebecca and her family. His sense of loyalty and justice was another great asset. Their romance was well-developed and their feelings were tangled and untangled very well.

The overall theme of the story was revenge. The villian in this story felt that they had been wronged. Instead of practicing forgiveness and letting God handle the punishment, they let their anger turn into bitterness and ultimately focus on revenge. Rebecca states the message the author is portraying quite well when she says, "I can't always control what happens to me, but I can control how I react." As a Christian, we are called to forgive, as we have been forgiven. That isn't always easy. If we don't forgive, our anger can turn into bitterness and a sense of revenge can overtake us and cause more harm. 

Overall, this was a fast-paced, edge of your seat, keep you guessing until the very end suspenseful romance. I highly recommend it!
