My Review: I have thoroughly enjoyed reading this series. Colleen Coble is a masterful story teller. She paints a beautifully vivid picture of life in the Wyoming Territory in the mid 1800's. This book is no exception. Like all of Colleen's books, the ending warmed my heart. Everything panned out, just like I knew it would. I loved the conflict between Emmie and Jacob. Colleen always throws a twist in the story you didn't see coming, and this was certainly no exception. It is absolutely the perfect ending to a fantastic series. Emmie and Sarah both find a home for their fragile, broken hearts. I just love it!

My Review: I knew I was going to like Emmie's story from the beginning! Her fragile heart and her spunk that she doesn't seem to realize she possesses endears me to her. Her insecurity with her situation and her family's reputation is something that everyone, at one point and time, can relate to. I also knew this was going to be one of my favorite installments of the Journey of the Heart series when I read one of my favorite verses in the beginning:

"Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by name; thou art mine. When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee." - Isaiah 43: 1-2

I feel like Colleen is foreshadowing what lies ahead for this wonderful group of characters, and I cannot wait to read the conclusion!

My Review: Welcome to, what I'm terming as, part two of the Journey of the Heart series. This book introduces us to Emmie Croftner, Ben Croftner's sister and reintroduces us to Isaac Liddle. We also get a glimpse into Rand and Sarah's life after A Heart's Danger.

In true Coble style, this book plays with our emotions. Emmie Croftner is thrown for a loop several times throughout the book and I can't help but sympathize with her. Can Isaac Liddle figure out how to cure the haunted look he sees in Emmie's eyes? Will she let him? I can't wait to find out!

Overall, I loved this short story. It is the perfect addition to an amazing series.

My Review: What a wonderful conclusion to Rand and Sarah's story! I absolutely love Colleen Coble and this short story is no exception. It picks up where A Heart's Obsession ends and flows seamlessly through until the end. It's an excellent addition to the Journey of the Heart series.

As with all Coble stories, there are twists and turns throughout the entire plot that keep you gripping the edge of your seat until the very end. Tension is mounting around the fort with the Sioux warriors, as well as inside the fort between Rand, Sarah, and Rand's fiance Jessica. Jessica launches a plan to keep Sarah away from Rand for good with the help of Ben Croftner. Can Rand find Sarah before it's too late and will he see that Sarah is the one for him? Find out in this exciting story!

Overall, I loved it. I can't wait to read the next one!

My Reveiw: A Heart's Obsession is the second book in Colleen Coble's Journey of the Heart series. It picks up right where the first book, A Heart's Disguise, leaves off. Rand has left their small town of Wabash, Indiana, again. After Sarah's father passes away from his long time illness, she decides to pick up her life and go after her one true love.

In true Coble style, though, nothing goes as planned. Sarah gets the surprise of her life when she gets to Fort Laramie. Can Sarah trust the Lord with the new reality of her life? I honestly didn't like Rand in this story. He came off as cold and compassionless to Sarah's plight. Hopefully, that changes in the books to come. Trouble follows Sarah to Fort Laramie in the form of Ben Croftner. I will be interested to see what happens later on with him. He is the true definition of evil and scary.

Overall, I really enjoyed this latest installment to the Journey of the Heart series and look forward to the next one!

My Review: Colleen Coble is one of my absolute favorite authors. Her stories are always full of twists, turns, intrigue, romance, and the Lord. So I jumped at the chance to review her Journey of the Heart series. From the first page of this book, I was hooked. If you've read Where Leads The Heart, then this story will be familiar to you. That being said, I look forward to re-reading this fantastic story!

Sarah Montgomery is someone I connected with instantly. She is going through her life the best she can after her heart was shattered at the news of her fiance's death. Rand Campbell has survived the horrors of the war, only to come home and find out everyone thought he was killed in action. He is broken, angry, and trying to heal. In true Coble fashion, Ben Croftner provides the perfect twist to the story.

As for the message, since this is just book one of six, we don't delve too much into the spiritual. We learn that Sarah is angry at God for taking her well-ordered and planned out life and turning it upside down (really, though, who wouldn't be!). Rand is trying to put his life back together and looking to restore his faith in the God of his childhood.

Overall, this book ends with a surprising cliff-hanger and I look forward to reading more in this series.
